C-Cube’s CQM Device Among Top Performers in International EIS Benchmark Test

C-Cube International’s Coating Quality Measurement (CQM) has been recognized for its outstanding performance in the 2nd International Round-Robin Test (RRT) on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements of organic coatings.

The RRT, conducted in 2021, brought together 30 international laboratories from academic and industrial research institutions to evaluate and benchmark the reliability of EIS instruments for assessing coating performance. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy is a key method for understanding the protective properties and degradation of organic coatings, making accurate and consistent measurement tools essential for corrosion prevention and predictive maintenance.

As part of this rigorous test series, C-Cube’s CQM [V1] demonstrated excellent measurement performance, placing it among the top-performing instruments evaluated. This achievement highlights the accuracy, reliability, and robustness of the CQM in measuring coating barrier properties — a critical factor in enabling data-driven maintenance decisions.

Although time constraints and publication guidelines limited the inclusion of detailed C-Cube data in the final published papers, the evaluation committee explicitly acknowledged the high-quality performance of the CQM during the assessment phase. C-Cube’s participation was described as both successful and impactful, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing state-of-the-art technologies for coating and corrosion monitoring.
